What do I need to rent a property?
Sutton & Sutton tries to make renting a house as easy as possible. Here are some simple guidelines that may help you in your decision-making…
1) Sutton & Sutton follows the Fair Housing Act and we do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, or handicap status.
2) Every perspective tenant is required to fill out a rental application. As part of the application process we will request a credit report from one of the national reporting agencies, a criminal background check, employment verification, and verify current rental situation. An application fee is required at the time of handing in an application.
3) Most houses require a month’s security deposit.
4) Most houses require the first full month’s rent at the lease signing.
5) Most of our leases are for one year. Sorry…we do not offer short-term rentals.
